Mission? Why should a webring have a mission? Well the ring itself doesn't have a mission, but instead is stage 1 of a project (or mission if you still want to use that word) I'm really excited about. The web is in need of a community and information center for younger and new pagans across the web, and I'd like to create one. With the web and the print media as saturated as they are with biased, incorrect or confusing information, it can be so hard for starting pagans to find information and others like themselves. So to help this problem, I'd like to start site where people can go to find reviews on sites and books filled with the information they need as well as find other pagans to help answer any questions they may have. Also, many pagans find it difficult to celebrate the holidays and keep focused on their practice when they are all alone, even if they do enjoy the freedom that solitary practice allows them. So the second purpose of this project is to help people find either people in their own area or at least people to talk to on the net.

This project will be executed in two steps as followed:

The Pagan Blogs ring and the Everyday Mysticism forum
-- Since a project like this requires people, I started the forum and the ring to gather like-minded pagans.

Start the Project
-- With the help of volunteers from the ring and forum members, the project will begin with putting together a database of participating pagans and their location, lists of sites and books that are must reads for beginners, and whatever else we can come up with.

If you're interested in helping out, just post in the forum and we'll be glad to have you!
